Q & A With Miracle Village Ministries
Executive Director Pat Powers

Q: What excites you most about Miracle Village Ministries?
The opportunity to help people who have nowhere else to turn. We feel so privileged to be there for them.

Q: When men and women are released from prison and have to rebuild their lives, how do you help them begin that journey?
We take them under our wing and walk them through the challenging reintegration process. Some of the critical early steps include locating housing, reporting to probation, registering with the Sheriff’s office, and gaining employment.

Q: Where’s your biggest potential to have a positive impact?
We believe that there’s a huge opportunity to help men and women steer clear of the damaging consequences of becoming a convicted sex offender by educating the general public about the dangers of the Internet and social media.

Q: What’s your idea of a great day at the ministry?
When we see that spark of hope on the faces of those we have the pleasure of helping. That makes it all worthwhile.

Q: How do you define success?
Success is witnessing a person persevere through the hard times and – against all odds – establish a life that he or she can be proud of.

Q: How can others help?
Miracle Village Ministries counts on financial donations to provide the services that assist men and women through their uphill reintegration journey. Financial support also gives us more outreach opportunities to educate society about the epidemic of Internet and social media misuse that often leads to sex offender casualties. It’s through God and the generosity of our donors that we see the life-changing miracles that turn despair into hope.
